Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to add/upgrade the RAM in my Pavilion 550-a114.

I know it must be unbuffered, but, must it be non-ECC or ECC?

Thank you.

Hi:

All HP consumer desktop PC's must use non-ECC memory.

The only PC's nowadays that might use ECC memory are servers and business workstations.

You're very welcome.

Yes, memory selection can sure be complicated.

Speed, density, voltage, buffered, unbuffered, ECC, non-ECC...
