Is it possible to fit a gtx 1660 super inside the case? Does it also fit any 600+ W power supply?

@Mys3lf,

Here is a picture of it.

From your working, can I assume you do not have the actual unit?

The simple facts are these:

1) The PSU used in these are 310W proprietary models. There are 3 known variations. The connectors from these non standard.

I don't have it yet, but I'm planning to get it...So you are saying that I won't be able to buy a new 600+W PSU and fit it inside?

The measurements of the case are 49,6 x 39,6 x 27,8 cm btw.

Thanks!

@Mys3lf,

It is not a standard ATX PSU. HP decided to use a proprietary supply. The connectors to the motherboard are unique. The max is a 500W PSU, part number L05757-800, (made by 3rd party suppliers). My issue is that no one has ever sent in pictures of the rear of the chassis nor the insides. I am handicapped by this problem.  But as I said, you can not use an ATX PSU.

BTW<> the GTX 1660 Super is a short length card, and only 125W.

Oh no, so the mini-ATX AMD B550A doesn't allow me to connect any power supply I'd want? That's very bad...

Btw, where do you find all that information? Because I was having the same GPU and PSU upgrade questions about the HP 290 g2 Mt (i5 8500, 4 gb 2666, 180 W PSU)! I have a gift card with very limited choices, and these 2 computers are some of them...

Thank you anyways!

Hey again! I wanted to make sure one thing before buying this product... Does the 310W PSU have a 6 pin connector for a gtx 1650 Super?

(BTW, even though the advised PSU for a 1650S is 350W, 310W should be fine, right?)

@Mys3lf,

I gather all information off the HP Websites, look at uploaded HP unit videos, and listen to others on the forum.  About 4 months ago I started a spreadsheet to track this power supply issue.  If you look very closely at the HP TG01-0019ur you will find reference with the 400W PSU and a GTX 1660Ti.  "click on spreadsheet".  Unknown if 310W have PCIE power plug.

.@Wb2001,

Ah, but only one of the three listed HP 310W PSUs is Gold rated, right? If so then don't you think that for example the "HP Pavilion Gaming 690-0045ns", that has a 1060 6 gb and mounts the (apparently?) same 310W Gold PSU, would have a 6 pin connector for the GPU? Or Hp modifies even the cards? If they mounted a regular 6 gb 1060 then that PSU has to have a 6 pin connector, am I right?

@Mys3lf,

From the specs, that model supports boast a 310W PSU with a GTX 1060 6GB card, very good work on your part. When you get it, please come back and add the model number of the power supply, as it is not marked on my chart. The reason is there are 2 different PSU's listed, the L03980-800 and  L64961-800

I have stayed with you on this inquiry.     Now your in the position to add data to my chart, ie which 310W PSU has the PCIEx16 , and is it a 6 pin or 6+2 pin.

I appreciate your help. I think I will buy the model with the R5 3400g, check wether it has a 6 pin and send it back in case it doesn't . I'll make photos and report back to you, no problem.

There also was something I can't wrap my head around...i saw this HP 690-0036nl for a good price, but the fact that they are selling it with only a 180W PSU, while it mounts an I7 9700F and a gtx 1050, really makes me wonder how could it possibly be stable...

Do you generally have any idea if all these HP PSUs are of good quality and reliable in time, or they do pose some risks to the system and are known to have issues?

Thank you!
