I have a five-year-old HP Envy 750-124 Desktop PC that is still running strong. Bootup time isn't ideal, but operating performance is fine for me. As of late, one of my SATA drives has been exhibiting some ailment; I've had a couple of scares where the system would not boot up, or the drive was auto-checked and fixed at startup. I hate to invest in another PC, because this one - except for the ailing drive - is still running strong.
I noticed that the Odense motherboard has an M2.1 slot, but it seems to be associated with network support, according to both the product and motherboard specifications. Does anyone know if the the HP Envy 750-124 Desktop PC supports SSD drives? I'd like to buy a couple of new SSD drives to replace both SATA drives currently in use. I think the drive tech upgrades would help with the bootup times and increase overall performance.
Any and all assistance would be much appreciated!

Hi:
You can't install a M.2 SSD, but you can install a 2.5" SATA SSD.
The M.2 slot is only for a Wi-Fi adapter.
You will need a 3.5" to 2.5" adapter to properly mount the smaller SSD where the 3.5" drive is now.
They make many different kinds of those adapters, so you will need to look at how your existing 3.5" drive is mounted and choose one that would make the best choice.

You're very welcome.
For me, the hardest part was finding the best adapter to fit where the drive goes on my HP business desktops.
I found one that worked great, but I had to Dremel one of the crossbars off the adapter, so the data and power cables did not bend when connected to the SSD.
I did not want the cables putting any undue pressure on the SSD connectors.

Anytime.
Glad to have been of assistance.
If you don't have any in mind, I recommend the WD Blue SA510 SSD's in a storage capacity that meets your needs and budget.

Yeah, that was actually the first one I found. The thing is that I want to replace both drives, and I wanted to do a 1-for-1, so I need a 1TB, as well as a 2TB. It seems the Amazon only has the 1TB WD for overnight delivery, so I'm considering going with the Samsung EVOs:

Thanks for the suggestion, though!
