Does the HP Z800 model support RTX4060 or RTX 4060 Ti models


I'm using an HP Z800 model and I'm using a GPU on a GTX980 model. I'm reviewing an RTX4060 or RTX 4060 Ti for an upgrade and I don't know if it's supported by the Z800.

Yes, your HP Z800 Workstation is compatible with RTX 40XX graphics cards, such as this User shows with an RTX 4070: HP Z800 Workstation Performance Results - UserBenchmark.

 

The HP Z800 Workstations come with either an 850-watt, 1110-watt or a 1250-watt power supply, which is far more than 

the RTX 4060 or RTX 4060 Ti models need.  The 6-pin PCIe power cables can be used with 6-pin to 8-pin PCIe power cable adapter(s), since the 6-pin PCIe power cables provide 12V x 18A = 216-watt of power each.
