Hi,

i can only see responses from 2018 relating to my enquiry.

Is my z240 (with all latest bios updates) now able to run any better cpus then from back then?

Thanks

@Axer88,

Welcome to our peer-to-peer HP Community Forum!

No, Intel's C236 chipset does not support 8th gen processors.  The best processor supported by the C236 chipset would be the i7-7700K: https://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-ASRock/C236_WS.html.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
