Does this HP computer have USB 3.0 also? I asked the seller and he didn't know.

It does not come with USB 3.0 as standard equipment. It can have USB 3.0 as PCIex1 card that can be added, however

I'm not an HP employee.

This HP card, where do the USB slots show up at - on the front. is it like you take out what's in there and replace it with this card kit?
I see several on eBay, which would work with this computer please:
Also, I see the kit comes with software/driver to install. I wander if Linux (Ubuntu) would be able to recognize the card as I'm sure the installer software that comes with it isn't a Linux installer. i guess I should ask the LInux community.

Hi, @Michael_Piziak
Before you buy that PC, I suggest you get confirmation from the seller as to exactly what model is being sold.
The listing title indicates HP Desktop Computer i7-2600 3.4 SFF 12GB RAM No HDD Free ship.
The body of the ad indicates the PC model being sold is an HP8100 Elite with an Intel 1st gen core processor.

ok thanks,
I think I'll avoid this purchase.
I had an HP EliteDesk 800 G1 sff and after 10 years or so of use, it finally suffered a hardware failure.
I'd like to atleast get one like it or better - it had an i5 4 core processor.
Thanks.
Follow up question: If something has an i7 processor, is that necessarily not always as good as the i5 processor I had?

You're very welcome.
I have two 8200 Elite CMT's with the i7-2600 and they are great PC's, but they do have that one drawback of not having USB3 ports which I have come to enjoy quite a bit when doing system backups and whatnot on my newer HP and Dell business PC's.
If you previously had an 800 G1, then you definitely won't want to go backward.
See what's out there. I'm sure there are plenty of 800 G1 and G2's for sale.
The G2's have the Intel 6th gen core processors.
