I am having a similar issue with my HP All In One. HP Pavilion All-in-One - 27-a227c

I have uninstalled all of the games, and only have a few programs on the computer but am down to less than 2gb of space on a 128gb sshd.  How can I free up space? I've deleted all the temp files, the actual details from the storage screen are screenshots below.  Can anyone help?  I am not sure what I can delete from the Apps & Games files that might be needed by the OS.  As you can see the largest program on it is 406mb and I must need it for my screen graphix?  Please advise.   Thank you!

@TGS64,

Sound advice from 2 corners. I will interject my humble opinion. Speed rato's and dynamics change constantly.

Here are some thoughts:

Upgrade to a Samsung  500GB M.2 SSD:

The 860 EVO has a seq read of 550MBps. cost $108

The 970 EVO has a seq read of 3400 MBps. cost $225

Adapters:

USB3.0 to m.2 adapter so you can clone and keep the 128 SSD as an external thumb drive

How to remove 1TB hard drive (temporarily).  Use this adapter to add m.2 socket so you can clone the 128 SSD.

@TGS64

Your machine has DUAL storage which consists on 128 M.2 SSD and 1TB of normal HDD. Its specs

   https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05403973

Now, the main thing is how to manage thos huge space. The following steps show what people normal do

(a) Keep Windows and programs/applications on SSD (in your case it is C:)

(b) Keep all user files/data on normal HDD   (in your case D:)

Please use the following steps to keep user files/data on 😧

 Your problem is you keep MANY games on C: therefore my suggestion

(a) Move games to 😧 if they supported this,

(b) Move Applications to 😧 if they supported this,

If (a) and (b) failed, replace 128GB M.2 SSD with a bigger (capacity) and this will cost you times and money.

Regards.

128GB as a system drive is nothing these days I'm afraid (let's omit the reasons and details).

Get it updated/replaced with 256GB or bigger - should keep you going for the next couple of years.

Note: You have a choice of clean install / system restore (you did create recovery media already, didn't  you?) / clone. Each option has its own advantages and disadvantages.

All of the games were removed a few days ago prior to your reply here, I tried to move programs but many must be on c drive, I will upgrade to new ssd soon...

BUT I found the culprit, 86.1 GB of data in an APPLE COMPUTER folder inside the APP DATA folder screen shot below.   I am sure it was old Iphone backups or something but 86.1 gb freed up my 128gb ssd and I'm happy to let everyone know that resolved this issue.  If I ever need to back up my iphone by comp again it won't be this comp.  I normally use the icloud backup for that now anyway.

THANK YOU EVERYONE for your help!
