Hi All,
I'm looking for a driver for a HP multidrivebay, when using the 3.5 inch diskette drive. I haven't used the diskette device in years and my current laptop cant find a driver (I normally use the CD/DVD drive in the bay and this is fine).
Details on the drive label are:
SPS:135233-001
DSKT - 1.44MB
AS #: 305936-306
I have tried installing the HP Support Assistant and it doesn't find anything.
Looking at device manager under "Other Devices", I see "USB Multibay FDC", "The drivers for this device are not installed". When clicking "Update Driver", it can not find anything on the PC and when selecting "Search for updated drivers on Windows Updates", nothing is found.
I cant find anything on the HP website when manually looking. I'm fairly sure this will be due to the age of the device.
Any help appreciated.

Not sure if this is it, but you may as well try this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-usb-floppy-drive/62238
Or this link: https://www.asusdriversdownload.com/drivers-usb/microsoft/usb%20multibay%20fdc
Hope this helps!

usb based floppy drives as a rule do not require any drivers under windows 8x and later as these OS's have built-in usb driver support for these devices (same goes for usb cd/dvd devices)
you appear to have a conflict that is preventing the windows 10 OS from installing it's built-in usb driver for this device
you can try removing the device from device manager (have the usb floppy connected) then shutdown windows using the restart option, this may allow the os to install the device
