Hi,

I'm looking for the drivers for the PCI memory controller, PCI data acquisition and signal processing controller, and SM bus controller.

Operating system is Windows Server 2012 R2. The drivers listed here for Windows 8.1 work for everything else, but I'm still having issues with these three. I'm guessing the HP people will say it's not a supported OS but still worth a shot.

Chipset is Intel Xeon E3-1240v6. Intel lists it as a Kaby Lake, but we ordered a different reversion of it that I believe is Skylake since we knew Kaby Lake wouldn't support Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 R2, and we won't be switching to Windows 10 or Server 2016 for a while. sp76104.exe (the download for the chipset from the link above) contains Skylake drivers as well.

Thanks in advance

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try the chipset drivers directly from Intel, which have support for Server 2012 r2.

The 2nd driver down the left side of the page is the auto install file.

So I was able to get the necessary inf files by running the installer and then going to "C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository", and the most recent folders were "sunrisepoint-hsystemthermal.inf_amd64_68715a906355f624" and "sunrisepoint-hsystem.inf_amd64_d471bd61277001aa". I was able to inject those into our image and it works, which makes sense because Sunrise Point chipsets go along with Skylake processors.

For reference in case someone else comes along, the devices in device manager were listed as DEV_A121 (PCI memory Controller), DEV_A123 (SM Bus Controller), and DEV_A131 (PCI data acquisition and signal processing controller). PCI memory controller and SM bus controller were taken care of by sunrisepoint-hsystem.inf, and the data acquisition one was taken care of by sunrisepoint-hsystemthermal.inf.
