I’m want to download windows 8.1 on my hp pavilion p6000 series but I’m gonna need to get the Ethernet driver and I can’t get it because it’s retired. How can I get a driver for the product? Also some people said I should install windows 10 on it so please let me know if it’s suitable for windows 10

Hi:
Your PC is not supported by HP for W8 or W8.1.
See if this W8.1 Realtek ethernet driver works for you.
Download, unzip and run the setup application from the Win8, Win8.1 and Server 2012 Auto Installation Program at the link below.
Realtek PCIe FE / GBE / 2.5G / 5G Ethernet Family Controller Software - REALTEK
Microsoft has closed the loophole which allowed users to upgrade their PCs for free beyond the July 2016 end date, so you would have to pay for a W10 license and product key.
I would hold off on that and save the $100 toward a newer PC that comes with a W10 product key in the BIOS.
