Intel Proset installs driver 18.33.17.1 but it drops connection. Driver 17.15.0.5 was installed and worked fine. Intel no longer supports the wireless card and Intel driver 17.15.0.5 is unavailable anywhere. Maybe HP can recommend a different wireless dual band wireless card that installs in the Envy 700-4, Serial [Personal Information Removed]and has drivers.
This old PC nicely houses the NAS for the home network but the constant dropped wireless network connection is a kill-joy.

Try the Intel 7260 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers from my Skydrive folder.
The drivers in that folder were the last ones Intel released for the 7260 Wi-Fi adapter and are newer than the default Wi-Fi driver that W10 installs.
Download, unzip and run the Bluetooth driver in the Intel 7260AC WiFi & Bluetooth Drivers.zip file.
If you want to install a different card, you can try this one.
I replaced my Intel 7260 with it a couple of months ago. Works great.

Proset installs AC-7260 driver 18.33.17.1 and the BT installs bluetooth. The BT works great. PC recognizes and connects to BT devices. But AC-7260 wireless driver 18.33.17.1 keeps getting a reset request from NDIS. There have been 636 requests in the last hour. Eventually the AC-7260 shuts off. The last driver to work was the 17.15.0.5 but it is unavailable to download.
I have a Broadcom Model BCM943142HM PCIe WLAN + BT card salvaged from a HP laptop. Can I use that?

Interesting.
The Wi-Fi driver from my Skydrive folder worked fine for the Intel 7260 in my notebook for years.
I didn't have to replace it. I did it just because I wanted to see if that Intel AX210 would work, and it did.
You can get the older Intel drivers from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
I see 17.13.12.1 or 18.11.0.8.
Or you can replace the card with the one I recommended, or this one, which you would probably have to find on eBay:

I tried the MS Update catalog and got the 17.13.12.1 but it was for X-86 and I have an X64. Couldnot find a AC-7260 driver for the X64 OS. I will try the purchased route if you say the Broadcom Model BCM943142HM PCIe WLAN + BT card salvaged from a HP laptop would not work.
