HP ENVY Desktop PC TE01-5000i (8R3Q6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I am trying to connect two monitors to my new Envy desktop. Both use an HDMI cable. Both connect and display if I use a dual connector with a USB connection to the computer but the resolution is subpar and I don't get the full display I do when each monitor is connected separately. When I connect both monitors to the HDMI ports, only the one monitor displays that is connected to the HDMI port at the bottom of the panel. The HDMI port at the top of the panel does not seem to work.  Any suggestions? Apparently, I have to pay for phone-based customer support to get the computer to do what it is advertised to do. Thank you.

According to what information I found, the HP ENVY Desktop PC TE01-5000i (8R3Q6AV) came with a choice of graphics options.  If there is not graphics card installed, the integrated graphics has a HDMI port near the top of the case.

If there is a graphics card installed, then most likely there is a HDMI port on that card.  Assuming the graphics card is there, then the HDMI port near the top of the case will be de-activated.hp-envy-desktop-te01-1000-front-back-side

Here is a sample of what the back of your case may look like.  In this instance there is a graphics card installed and you will notice the HDMI port near the top of the case.

Please take a photo of the back of the case and post it, so I can see what exactly is happening here.

Thanks for the guidance. I do have an HDMI port at the top corner of the back. It came with a cap on it. I initially tried that port but it didn't work. I eventually found a solution by plugging one monitor into the lower HDMI port and another into a two-monitor adaptor with my HDMI monitor cable plugged into the adaptor and then into the USB port. Then I changed the resolution from the standard default to something that provided more resolution. Hopefully this holds!

Now I have to resolve why after one week the webcam authentication stopped working....

Again, thanks!
