I have 2 screens and I’m trying to mount them on an arm. My screens are 24fw and 524sf. I purchased vesa adapters. How do I affix these considering I’ve removed the stand for the screen but still left with a connector on the screen itself?

Hi @JWJune

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the effort you’ve already put in by removing the stands and preparing VESA adapters—it shows great initiative.

Let’s walk through the process step by step so you can get both displays mounted securely and neatly:

  1. Place the monitors face down on a soft, flat surface to avoid scratches.
  2. Identify the connector area where the original stand was attached. This is usually a recessed slot or bracket.
  3. Align the VESA adapter plate with the connector area. Most adapters are designed to fit into that slot and then provide the standard 75 mm or 100 mm VESA hole pattern.
  4. Secure the adapter using the screws provided with the kit. Ensure they are tightened evenly but not over‑tightened, so the panel isn’t stressed.
  5. Once the adapter is firmly in place, line up the VESA holes on the adapter with the mounting plate of your dual‑arm stand.
  6. Use the screws supplied with the arm to attach the adapter to the mount. Again, tighten evenly to keep the screen level.
  7. Carefully lift and attach the monitor to the arm, making sure the locking mechanism or safety clip on the arm engages fully.
  8. Repeat the same process for the second monitor.
  9. Adjust the arm tension so the screens hold their position without drifting. This often involves turning the tension screw on the arm joints.

You’ve already done the most challenging part by removing the stands. With the adapter secured and the arm tightened, you’ll have a smooth, floating dual‑screen setup that feels both sturdy and elegant.
