Hello, can anyone tell me what size fan could fit on the rear of an Elite 600 SFF G9 (pictured in link below) and if the vent holes lineup at all with fan mounting holes?

Thanks

@dmich135,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Yes, I have installed more than a few additional cooling fans on PC upgrade projects.

What I would do is the following: measure the distance in red.  If I am not mistaken, that should be about 80mm (8cm) -please verify:

DO NOT TRY to install a cooling fan that is too large.  If the measured distance is closer to 70mm (7cm), buy this smaller sized cooling fan instead.

Unless you tell me otherwise, assuming you need is a 4-pin PWM 80mm (8025) Case Cooling Fan such as this eBay purchase example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/235758905885?_skw=HP+4-pin+PWM+80mm+cooling+fan&itmmeta=01JHV1A75NJKR4J7N3H....

And depending on if you install this fan on the case's exterior, you may want to install a fan grill (finger guard) as well, such as this purchase example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/225718094193?_skw=80mm+fan+grill&epid=1701496085&itmmeta=01JHV1E9WGFC3F81WX....

WARNING: you may have to use a drill or other (power) tools to make it possible for the fan to be mounted/screwed onto the interior or exterior of your PC and/or to drill an access opening for the fan's power cord. If you are not comfortable 'modding' your PC, don't do it. Mind you, HP does not endorse, recommend or approve of any modding of any kind, and if you go ahead and do it, you do so at your own volition and accept personal responsibility and any damages or injuries that may occur.  (In case you wondered, this is the disclaimer HP wants me to include.)

You may need a cooling fan PWM splitter cable like this purchase option: 4 Pin PWM Y Splitter Dual Adapter Computer PC Case Cooling Fan Adapter Cable,12" | eBay.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,

@dmich135,

I just looked at (what I believe) to be a similar PC you showed, and you may need an even smaller diameter 4-pin PWM cooling fan: 60mm (6cm) such as this eBay purchase option (including a grill guard, or so it appears): Foxconn PV602512ESPF Fan HP 444306-001 0.35A 4Pin 60*60*25m Cooling Fan | eBay.
