Product: HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Base Model Workstation Edition

Hi all, 

 

I want to upgrade my tower as I have a spare i9 but it appears it is not supported by the g4. Is it possible to flash the g5 bios as the boards appear to be the same and if not could I get a g5 board from hp? it seems that there are no parts listed for the g5? and I cant find one for sale either? I wouuld swap motherboards and re sell...

Yes, you can indeed swap out your 800 G4 Tower motherboard for an 800 G5 Tower motherboard as they are identical in size/dimensions:

I did the very same thing with an HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF model: Solved: Upgrading HP EliteDesk 800 G5 SFF - HP Support Community - 8545942.
