Hi:

HP did not offer Ryzen processors in the EliteDesk 705 G3 model series.

However, this PC benchmarking site has reports uploaded from various owners of the HP 705 G3 MT and show that some have added Ryzen processors.

I do not see any reports specifically showing the Ryzen 1600, but there are others showing the Ryzen 5 Pro 1500 and the Ryzen Pro 1700X.

I believe that either of those processors would require your PC to have a discrete (PCIe x16) graphics card, as would the Ryzen 5 1600.

Hello again, i bought the R5 PRO from China, but it not working. The monitor display black screen and the cpu fan is running on 100% power (loud as hell). What can i do? Upgrade bios? Thank for the first response.

You're very welcome.

Sorry that processor didn't work for you.

I don't know how those other folks got it to work, so I guess that you can try updating the BIOS in hopes that gets the processor to work.

The latest version is 02.43

If you look at the release notes under the Revision History section, HP makes a reference to BIOS v 2.31: Updates AMD Pinnacle Ridge silicon reference code to 1.1.0.9.

Pinnacle Ridge processors are AMD Ryzen processors...

You will have to reinstall the original processor in order to update the BIOS if you have not done so already.
