HP EliteDesk 705 G5 Small Form Factor PC

I have tried to upgrade the CPU in my system using two different CPU's that are listed in the product specs for my PC.

A Ryzen 7 Pro 3700 and a Ryzen 9 Pro 3900.  Neither will boot.

I have already a discrete GPU (OEM HP RX550X P/N L39867-001) installed and the system works fine with the factory shipped Ryzen 5 Pro 3400G installed.

Any ideas why the system won't boot (ie, won't even get to the initial HP splash screen or let me enter the BIOS).

I have already tried hitting ESC repeatedly to enter BIOS and holding Windows key + B while powering on.

In the past there have been time where people tried processors and had the same results because they did not use the HP part number versions.

What you are experiencing is pretty rare.
