I have the 35W Elitedesk 800 G3 mini and there is a connector for an HDD fan. I want to add a fan to cool the NVME M2 SSD but I cannot find any information on this connector. It is smaller than the CPU fan header. If someone knows or have the part  number of the secondary fan on the 65W model? I think those came with the extra fan?

thanks much!

@Joey-taps

It is for a fan that goes under the hard drive, see page 32 of the manual, as shown here.  From that picture and the motherboard connector, IMHO, this is the fan  The plug has a tab on the side.  It is a 5VDC fan.

Solution for you>< did you know there are M.2 heatsink and fan kits?

thanks for the reply. My plan was to get a connector and splice in a Noctua PWM 5v 4 pin fan. But I guess I could get a fan just for the connector. I want to use the PWM if possible. I knew of PCIe M2 heatsink and coolers but I did not know of the SATA power adapter, I could get one of those to power the fan also.

thanks
