EliteDesk 800 G6 SFF parts map

Does anybody know if there is a parts "map" for the EliteDesk 800 G6 SFF (8YM57AV)? Such part maps exist for all other HP computers that I own/have owned. I need to be able to look up part numbers for parts that I intend to purchase and install.

It appears that the illustrated parts catalog is incorporated into the service manual (chapter 2).

The bad news is there are no part numbers.

What I suggest you do is to enter your PC's serial number or product number into the HP partsurfer website as the manual indicates to see if you can find the part number(s) you need.

If you are wanting to order parts that did not come with your PC, it may be difficult to find what you need if they are not listed for your PC's product number.

If that is the case, the only way I know of how you can try to find those parts would be to enter 800 G6 SFF in the search window, and you will get many different product numbers to look from.

I don't know who in HP is coming up with these changes, but they are making it harder not easier to find what you need.

Thank you for the speedy response.

I had noted that the illustrated parts catalogue is now incorporated into the service manual but, as you point out, there are no part numbers.

I tried your suggestions of the HP PartSurfer, but it is really not much practical help. It does not provide the correct part numbers for the SD Card Reader nor the DVD-Writer which are the parts that I'd want to buy.

When I click on the first product number in my second link, there are parts for the DVD.

From what I can tell is that there are a whole slew of parts you need to add the DVD drive if they are missing from your PC.

You may just want to opt to use a USB DVD burner.

I had intended to delve more deeply into HP PartSurfer but it appears to have stopped working at the moment. Whatever I type into the search box, no results are returned. I will try again later.

Given the apparent complexity of fitting a DVD drive nowadays, I will follow your suggestion and buy a USB DVD drive.

Just type in 800 G6 SFF and you should get several pages of models.

It will be a laborious process to mine for the info you are looking for.

I don't understand why HP removed the part numbers from the illustrated parts lists.

They have the parts listed for all the notebooks they sell in the service manuals.

They also sell USB SD card readers if you have to resort to using one of those.
