Hi
I have the above pc with an i5 8500 processor. On the processor list in the serve manual, it states it can take an i7 8700. Is it possible to just replace the cpu to increase to performance, or are there other changes required?
Thanks

Bear in mind that your request is outside of my direct knowledge. In looking at the info found here
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06063157
The CPU list does indicate that the i5 8500 and the i7 8700 are both available and both are 65W processors, Since they are both listed as acceptable for the 65W motherboard, it would seem logical that your request would be plausible. Since this is a mini, it would also seem logical that it would be a real pain for a non-techie to work on this unit. Depending on the age of the PC, it could very well pose a warranty issue, also.
If anyone with direct knowledge of these PC's reads this, please comment.
