Hi was hoping someone might be able to assist here.
Have just acquired EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF.
x16 GB Ram.
256GB SSD Sata0 port.(win10x64 boot drive)
Bios version = Q01 ver 02.25.00 (latest as per HP support site)
am trying to expand storage and use the m.2 port 1 and/or 2 ports.
Have tried 256Gb Nvme drive(s) in SSD1 port , SSD2 port and in both ports simultaneously.
In any case they are not detected by the system in either Win10(drive manger and third party disk/partition tools(mini tools partition manager) or even in the Bios its not detected.
have gone through all the bios options , under Advanced, M.2 SSD , tried enabling and disabling this , with no difference.
have also tried downloading the latest Bios to USB and upgrading the bios to the latest version again. Unfortunately no change, cannot detect the nvme drives.
first time experimenting with nvme drive so any advice guidance be appreciated.
thanks

in case anyone else is having same issue.
went through and tried all the options in BIOS, did not change anything and could not recognize the NVMe drives with every iteration change in bios properties. (Following the guide in the Maintenance and Service manual for the machine.)
was about to purchase an Pcmie card adapter for Nvme drives, when decided to Reset the BIOS to factory defaults. After this(Bios reset to factory) the NVMe drives could be accessed and seen by Win10.
