Product: Elitedesk 800 G4 SFF
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I just bought a Elitedesk 800 G4 to build a firewall, i7-8700 with 2x 8Gb RAM.
When I add an Intel Pro-1000 quad ports NIC, I get a bios error that the RAM size has changed. The system does not detect 1 of my RAM stick so I get only 8Gb. It's already overkill for a home firewall, but still it's an issue. I checked with CPU-Z and my 2nd DIMM bank is empty. I have the latest Bios at 02.27.
I found a similar post for a prodesk G4 : "HP ProDesk 400 G4 SFF PCIe Issue with Memory" so it seems to be a bios issue or something like that.
I will try to tinker a little and update if I find something.
