I have a EliteDesk 800 G2 mini with bios 2.63 and a normal SSD 2.5" disk.

With the help of this community and other pages I should be able to add a M2 ssd sata card and they would coexist.

When I add a M2 sata card it isn't recognized at all. Do I need to do something in the bios?

If I choose uefi config in the bios none of the disk is listed

What could be wrong?

The reason why the M.2 SATA SSD doesn't work is because the 800 G2 DM's M.2 slot only supports NVMe SSDs.

You need a drive like this:

Crucial P310 SSD 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 2280, Internal Hard Drive, Up to 7,100MB/s, Laptop and Deskt...

You're very welcome.

The drive specifications for the DM at the link below only list PCIe drives which is an equivalent description to NVMe.

See page 15.
