Envy 34-a010
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Looking to see if there is an update processor list for my model Envy 34-a010. I want to see if I can upgrade to Intel SR3X3 Core i5-8600T 2.30GHz (Turbo 3.70GHz) LGA1151 Socket Processor *km. It is the same socket LGA 1151 and mine is currently the i5-6400T.

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs for your PC.

HP ENVY Curved 34-a010 All-in-One Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

The processor upgrade info can be found on the above link.

  • Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:
    Processor
    TDP
    Integrated graphics
Intel Core i7-6700T (Skylake) 2.8 GHz Quad Core
    35 W
    Intel HD Graphics (GT2)
Intel Core i5-6400T (Skylake) 2.2 GHz Quad Core
    35 W
    Intel HD Graphics (GT2)

If you are wanting to upgrade the processor because of the W11 requirements, you can bypass the processor check by making a simple registry edit.

How to Bypass TPM and CPU Requirements for Windows 11 Upgrade on Unsupported PC - HELLPC

You just have to accept the agreement that comes up during the upgrade process about your PC not meeting the requirements, etc., etc..

My PC got all of the W11 updates.

However, I don't know how long that will continue, or what will happen when the new build of W11 comes out next year in October.

Is there a list of other supported processor that might work with this system? I know what the specs say online...like it only maxs out at 16 gigs of ram, but I currently have installed 32 gigs. So with that I am sure that there has to be more processors that can work. So my question is, will an intel 8600T processor work since it is a lga1151 socket? Typically motherboards will support at least the next two generations after a bios update, which I am sure as to why I am able to use 32 gigs ram.

HP Envy Curved 34-A010 ... and I already looked at the product support page and the provided PDF, so please don't direct me to it.  That was produced when the system was made. I looking to see if any additional processors have been added. As i previously stated, the PDF says only 16 gigs of RAM can be used and I currently have 32 gigs installed. I am sure this is due to a BIOS update so I am figuring that may be additional processor support has been added too.

Thank you for the bypass method...that is one reason. Do you know other then the specs you listed which are the original specs if there was listing on any where else. The original specs say only 16 gigs of ram is the max, but I have 32 gigs installed.

You're very welcome.

Your PC'S chipset won't support an Intel 8th gen core processor.

HP Recommended

Thank you that is what I was looking for. I know that Windows 11 doesn't support 7th Gen. Processors but will the chipset for this model?

HP Recommended

You're very welcome.

The chipset your PC has only supports the Intel 6th gen Skylake processors.
