HP Recommended

HP/compaq/omen and Dell do not do bios revisions for next generation processors.

They never have and they never will as they would rather create obsolescence so that you buy their newer hardware.

 

The i7 of that generation will work.

 

HP and Dell standardize the bios so that the specific generation of core series processors are interchangeable for that specific generation to bios.

 

There honestly needs to be laws on obsolescence and manufacturers should infact release bios revisions to accept newer generation chip sets so that people dont create e waste in short decade periods of time contaminating our water supply.
