Envy TE01-2250XT
Microsoft Windows 11

I have an Envy TE01-2250XT that I want to add extra USB capability.

I bought a Febsmart 5 port USB 3.0 PCI card that fits in the X1 slot and works (don't know how fast).

However when I tried either a LTERIVER USB 3.1 Gen2 card (X4) or a YEELIYA USB 3.2 card (X4) in the 16X slot neither worked.

Is there an issue with 16X PCI expansion slot in the TE01-2250 (Motherboard Stark) ?

Thanks John

Hello
we will not be able to answer this question
I don't have the support page for this model, I just quickly looked at the first answer given with a search engine
The hp shop page therefore

https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/hp-envy-desktop-te01-2250xt-pc-1k4f1av-1
And here it is mentioned that there is a graphics card

NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1650 Super

so if it does, and what works, the pci port works
That said, too bad to remove a graphics card for USB ports
It could be just an incompatibility issue.
see the secure boot, although in this case it shouldn't be the case I think!

Thanks for looking - Turns out that a third card from Startech did the trick. It wasn't the PCI slot but the inexpensive cards I was trying to use. John
