HP Pavilion AiO PC 27-ca2000i (6L7D8AV)

Hello everyone,

I am experiencing a lot of fan noise on the above PC, This device is one month old, and this noise has been present since day one. My ten year old desktop that this replaced , together with other laptops  I use, do not make anywhere near the racket that this thing does.

I have run the HP tests for thermal and speed, but of course these passed.

Does anyone know of a solution, or could I get the fan replaced under guarantee?

Many Thanks

John.

Hi @JohnW129

Welcome to the HP Forum.

HP specs for your PC are at this Site.

I would guess the CPU fan could be ramping up if you selected the Intel i7-13700T CPU option at purchase. This processor can turbo up to 4.9 GHz.

I can only suggest contacting HP Support for a possible remedy.

You could have a faulty fan or some other (thermal or non thermal) problem causing this behavior. Have you checked Task Manager to see if you can identify a CPU process that is consuming high CPU usage when the fan ramps up?

HI Bill

Many Thanks for your reply.

I would expect to hear 'air movement' as it were,  but this noise seems to be a possible bearing noise or something like that.

But I will give the task manager a look.

Thankyou for your suggestions.

Cheers

John.

Greetings @JohnW129

My pleasure.

A CPU fan bearing sound should indicate a faulty fan.

HP should replace the fan if your PC is in warranty.
