For the last hour and a half I have been trying to find out the specs for the RAM in my HP pavilion desktop TP01-2000i, product # 318A0AA#ABA. Right now I have 8gb for ram and I would like to expand that to at least 16gb, if at all possible. According to the BIOS there are 2 slots, and one is in use, but I can't remember the total amount of memory it had listed. Can someone help me in choosing the right memory for my computer??

hi
https://support.hp.com/si-en/document/c07672800
check hp indicate
Memory | 8 GB DDR4-2933 MHz RAM (1 x 8 GB) |
- Dual channel memory architecture (One DIMM per channel)
- Two DDR4 DIMM (288-pin) sockets
- Supports up to PC4-23400 (DDR4-2933)
- Supports 4 GB and 8 GB DDR4 UDIMMs
- Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
note:
32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory. - Supports up to 32 GB (unbuffered) with two 16 GB DIMMs on 64-bit systems
try
if you buy a module, it is possible that the new one does not work with the old one
you will have to test it alone
if it works alone, you will have to buy another identical one
so @TheSecond is it ok ?
