Product: OMEN 870-117na
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have just purchased an OMEN 870 PC.  I wish to buy an external DVD/CD Rewriter.  The HP store directs me to the HP USB External DVD-RW Drive but my OMEN PC is not listed as a compatible device.  Will this DVD Rewriter work with my PC?  If not, can anyone recommend a DVD Rewriter which will work with my PC?

About the only limitation would be if the drive is powered by the USB port and the OMEN ports are limited in some way.  I did not see an info concerning that ,however.

Considering the external drives will use USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 as an interface, it would be presumed that most any external DVD drive would be compatible.

Thank you for your very rapid reply.  That would be my assumption as well which is why I was surprised to see a list of compatible devices in the HP shop.  Never having bought one of these devices before, I wondered if there is something about them which means they are not universally compatible.
