Omen 870-244
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I installed a second hard drive in my HP Omen 870-244. The second hard drive is almost identical to the original OEM hard drive. The OEM hard drive is the Western Digital WD10EZEX-60WN4A0 and the second hard drive is the Western Digital WD10EZEX-08WN4A0. Every time I boot after installing the second hard drive I get a message directing me to run a system diagnostic test. Each diagnostic test on the hard drives returns a message with failure ID: rgcd48-8lp9j0-9xpgq1-610v03. Does anyone know what this error message means? I am assuming it means something like the second hard drive is bricked because the diagnostic test passes the SMART phase and always fails on the short DST testing phase.

I've already started the return process to send the second hard drive back for replacement, but I am still curious about what exactly this error message means.

@Apollo117 , welcome to the forum.

In this guide it states that you should contact HP Customer Support to find out what the code means or look in the Test Logs on the main menu.  This is the best information that I can find for you.
