Hi, the hard drive quick test produced the following result:

 

Testing Drive: 1

Hard Drive SMART Check: FAILED

FAILURE ID:  RU2C81-7AA98C-MFPV6J-60DG03

PRODUCT ID: F9G48EA#ABZ

You're very welcome.

 

You ran a HDD quick test for a reason. 

 

Time to back up files and replace the failing HDD. Replace the 5400 rpm platter disk with a similar sized 2.5 inch SSD. You could also buy a 250 GB SSD or a 500 GB SSD if you don't need the storage and you don't rely on HP's W8.1 recovery software.

 

This will give your Notebook a nice boost in performance.

 

The current disk could still be usable for a while but the clock is ticking.

You will have to replace the primary OS/boot HDD ASAP.

 

Now is a good time to back up your important stuff.
