I have tried to install the upgrade that the HP Assistant notified me about (HP Consumer Desktop PC BIOS Update (ROM Family SSID 81B7)) twice now and both times it appears to have installed fine, when I check the history it says it failed. The machine goes into the BIOS looking text screen during the install and then restarts itself. Like I said it seems to have completed the install successfully. I have run all the system and hardware test and nothing is noted as a problem.
How can I get this installed completely???
Thanks
JJ

Hello
above all, deactivate the automatic update system, it must no longer be launched.
The SSID seems to correspond well, it should be known now, what update is offered, and the version that is in place in the bios?
In any case, I advise you not to insist at least for a while
Motherboard Specifications, Saipan-4GF
SSID: 81B7
