HP ENVY Curved All-in-One - 34-b010no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have a problem with the HP ENVY Curved All-in-One - 34-b010no,

Tha fan noise is so loud sometimes.

When i use the pc it is quiet, but when i leave the pc for a break, after about 5 minutes the fan is going full and it is so loud.

Even all apps are closed. I think its the core fan or something.

When i use computer sometimes under heavy load, the fan is loud, that's ok.

The fan is even loud on idle sometimes.

I've have heard this is a common problem for this PC.

Is the any patch og new driver version that can solve this problem?

@chingpang,

Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips! As I understand you are having issues with the fan making noise on your HP Envy all in one PC. Don't worry I'll be really glad to help you with this.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Does the computer freeze or shut down after heating up?

Does the fan make a loud noise, apart from what you hear from the processor?

Did this start after a software or windows update?

What is the exact error message do you get on the screen?

For now, please perform all the prescribed steps from this link for overheating issues.

Also please take appropriate measures to reduce heat inside the computer from this link that helps to reduce heat.

Perform a Hard reset on the PC

Many startup errors and other problems can be resolved by decreasing the amount of power stored in hardware components. Decreasing stored power is sometimes referred to as a "Hard Reset". Use the following steps to perform a hard reset on a computer:

1. If Windows is open, click Start and then Shutdown.

If Windows is not open and the computer has power, press and hold the power button on the computer until the computer shuts off.

2. With the power off, disconnect the power cord from the back of the computer.

3. With the power off and the power cord disconnected, press the power button on the computer for 5 seconds. The power light indicator on or near the power button might turn on briefly but then go out.

4. Reconnect the power cord and turn on the power.

Next thing, I would suggest here is to Run Windows Updates troubleshooter -

Download and install the troubleshooter from this link.

Now try to perform Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Please update the bios and chipset drivers from this link after selecting the correct operating system.

If the issue persists, I would suggest here is to run an extensive system test on the computer from F2(Please capture the failure ID for further assistance).

Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, please. Please note that I am not overloading you with a lot of troubleshooting steps.

Instead, just like you, I am eager to ensure that the problem gets resolved. So I am providing you with more resources and information at your disposal to deal with the situation better.

Hope this answers your question.

Good luck and keep me posted about the developments. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue and give the post a Kudos for my efforts to help. Thank you and have a great week ahead. 🙂
