Omen 25L Desktop GT12
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have only had my desktop a short time and have now received the message "A fan is not operating correctly.  Continued operation of the computer is not recommended..."  about three times.  It has always been when I first started the computer in the morning.  I have let it shut down, and then each time was able to restart without any problem.  Since the computer is so new, I don't expect dust in the fan to be the issue.  Should I return the unit for a new one?

@Hallie17 -- Should I return the unit for a new one?

Yes. My guess is that the fan is not starting as quickly as the motherboard expects it to report "ready".

Contact HP Support. A local authorized HP Service Centre may be able to replace the fan, to eliminate the problem.  Then, your existing installation of Windows, with your personal files, can be used.

Note that if HP replaces the computer, any personal files that you had on the computer will NOT be copied onto the new computer.
