My organization recently purchased several HP 800 G3 Towers and HP 800 G3 Small Form Factor PC's. The HP documentation indicates that these PC's have a USB port on the front that is Fast Charge 2.0 compatible and is indicated by the lightning bolt to the right of the USB icon.
We have several Android devices that are Fast Charge compatible that aren't charging any faster than a standard USB port and I was curious if anyone else has experienced this issue? I have thoroughly checked the BIOS , all drivers/firmware and can't find a setting to either turn Fast Charging on or off.
I have specifically been testing a Samsung Galaxy S8+ which I believe uses Fast Charge 3.0 and the charge rate is extremely slow.
Thanks for any and all assistance....

Hi,
I couldn't find any information on the HP 800 G3 Tower of SFF that indicates that the USB 2 "fast charging" port is complaint with Samsung's fast charging standard. Fast charging would require both 5v and 9v going to the USB "c" connector of the Samsung 8 (I have a S7 which supports fast changing).
The Samsung wireless charging unit work well for me. I can also just use Samsung wireless power adapter and cable if I don't want to use the wireless stand. Either way will support fast charging.

BTW-- There is an Android setting that needs to be set on for fast charging.
Settings-->Device maintenance---->battery --> advanced settings (three dots in upper right corner)
