Product: HP ENVY Desktop PC TE02-0000i (3Y3Q7AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hi

 

- What is the fastest NVidia GPU I can install into my HP ENVY Desktop TE02-0xxx?

- Without needing to upgrade/ change power supply or fans. 

- Basically, so I can do a straight swap.

- Remove the existing NVidia Rtx 3060, and put a faster GPU into the exact same space.

- Ideally I am looking for a 24Gb solution, if this is possible?

Hi @mixer28 

 

You should buy a low profile RTX but 24 GB does not exist and needs 850 Watt power supply (RTX 4090 24 GB).

 

But the next one can use

Hi

 

Thanks. Yes my research indicated the key issues I face seem to be:

 

1. Needing more power. Increasing PSU from 500w to around 800-850w

2. More space on the motherboard. The better GPUs seem to be wider and longer, and use triple slots.

3. Enhanced cooling. I was told that the 24Gb need more cooling too.

 

I have the RTX 3060 in 12 Gig version already, so I don't think I can upgrade without a whole next box, power supply + motherboard configuration.

 

If Hp could do a mass produced desktop with 24Gb GPU running on at least  i7 for around £1500-£1750, I'd buy it tomorrow.
