I bought this all in one refurbished and from the beginning, the display has randomly gone dark. At first, it just lasted a few seconds and came right back. Eventually, I would have to put the system to sleep via my other monitor and let it sit for a few then fire it back up. The machine stays on, it's just the display that's out. After some initial research, I felt it was a capacitor issue but my techie felt it was software related. We did a reset and the problem persisted. We decided to just replace the whole motherboard. Problem is, we can't find another one. HP wanted over $600 to replace it. I only paid $700 for the machine. It's a great machine but I can't justify that kind of money for the repair. I've already bought a new laptop directly from HP this time...with the extended warranty...but I'd love to be able to use this one, too. Any ideas? The part number is 797425-602.
Thanks in advance 🙂
