Just to keep you updated about the bios procedure, first I flashed v02.99 Rev.A, & then I flashed v00.03.09 Rev.A . Of course I guess the real test will be to boot the computer & enter the bios area. I believe in letting people know if I do something, I've added you as my friend here in the community, I hope that's okay with you. Stay Safe !

Yes it seemed to install correctly & my computer seems to be running normally. If I can find it, I have an additional hp desktop that's a little bit older than my current one. The reason I bought my latest desktop is because the spec's are a lot better. I'm thinking about installing a ssd in it, I noticed in the bios a setting that I would need to enable to get it to function, also I need to make sure there's a connection on the motherboard to utilize. By the way, my other desktop is a 6000 Pro SFF , ProductVS742UA

I probably won't be able to find a newer version of bios for my older computer, but at least it's still working. I'll quit sending replies after I send this one. As smart as you are I'm sure that you probably deal with a lot of people.

I knew I forgot to include something..sorry about that . Since I starting using this newer desktop I haven't even turned the other on lately, by you providing me with a link to the bios for it, that will give me a reason to do so. My newer desktop is quicker than my older one, I feel like the only way to make it any faster would be to see if I can install a ssd & add some additional memory. I guess there is a different option. and perform some overclocking (which I've never done, some people say that it does make a difference. I don't know how I can ever make it up to you for all of your help, other than stop sending so many replies.

Adding a SSD and more memory will help, for sure.  The manuals for the HP Compaq Pro 6300 SFF are all found here

This one shows how to change the hard drive starting on page 213

The SSD you choose needs to be a SATA hard drive replacement type.  They look and act just like a laptop hard drive ( much smaller than the typical 3.5" that is presently installed.)  so some type of adapter needs to be used to mount it.  Some of that style SSD come with the adapter to replace a 3.5" drive.  FYI.  Do some shopping around.

 

Page 103 of that same manual shows the memory specs and then following pages indicates how to populate that memory in the slots.

You speak of overclocking but I would discourage even trying that on this class of PC.  It is most difficult, if not impossible, because of the way the BIOS is structured.

I surely can't give you enough KUDOS, you have went way above and beyond what could ever be expected for a community member to provide so much information to another community member. My latest desktop (6300 Pro SFF) came with a 500 gb sata drive in it, this hard drive is so much quieter than the hard drive that's installed in my old desktop. I think I might have mentioned previously that I have at least two dad's on hand, the only issue with them is that they are only 240 gb in size. I've been thinking about picking up one with a larger capacity, I'm sure you know that prices vary quite a bit, it boils down to where you make a purchase from. I guess I could start with a smaller capacity drive and keep shopping for one at a good price. I'm not trying to sound like I'm a pauper or anything, but since I retired my wife and I tend to watch our money closer than we used to. It's pretty easy now to switch out a hard drive & get the contents of the original drive transferred over to the new drive. I'm somewhat puzzled about my newer desktop, it really doesn't seem to be any faster than my old desktop. Stay Safe

Well a 1TB 3.5" hard drive is very reasonable in the USA - less than $50.  And they are pretty much silent.  A 500GB SSD can be found for similar prices.  Example:
