So I have tried pretty much everything, including replacing the RGB board and my front lights are still not working.

Any ideas?

Hi,

it’s an omen 30l, has the diamond light and circular light on the front panel. They don’t work, after weeks of flickering, coming on, coming off and now just not at all.
Although the in case lights still work.

Thanks.

Hi @mrmojo121,

Thanks for the details! I understand your OMEN 30L front panel lights—the diamond and circular lights—aren’t working, even after replacing the RGB board, while the in-case lights still function. Let’s go through a few steps to troubleshoot this:

1. Check front panel connections

Power off the PC and unplug it.

Open the case and verify that the front panel light connectors are securely connected to the motherboard/RGB controller.

Sometimes a loose or misaligned connection can prevent front lights from functioning.

2. Inspect the RGB controller / hub

If your case uses an RGB hub separate from the motherboard, make sure the diamond and circular light cables are plugged into the correct ports.

Swap ports if possible to rule out a port failure.

3. Test with OMEN Gaming Hub

Ensure the OMEN Gaming Hub software is installed and up to date.

Open the RGB lighting settings and check if the front lights are detected and configured properly.

Try toggling profiles or resetting lighting to default.

4. Update firmware

Check for OMEN 30L BIOS and RGB firmware updates via HP Support.

Some lighting issues are resolved by firmware updates that address RGB controller detection.

5. Check for physical damage

If the lights flickered for weeks before completely going out, the LEDs themselves or the cables could be damaged.

Inspect for any broken wires, burnt connectors, or water/dust damage.

I hope this helps.
