My function keys stopped working in my virtual desktop and my supervisor said I need help with 3270 emulation. I have no idea what that means. While working in the virtual desktop, the function keys have certain commands but mine do nothing when I hit them. I have to pull up the virtual keyboard and use those function keys, which is tedious and frustrating.
If anyone is aware of how to fix this problem, please let me know.

The IBM 3270 was a family of block oriented display and printer computer terminals introduced by IBM in 1971 and normally used to communicate with IBM mainframes. The IBM 3270 PC, released in October 1983, was an IBM PC XT containing additional hardware that, in combination with software, could emulate the behaviour of an IBM 3270 terminal.
I find it incredible, and hard to believe, that folks are still trying to simulate these devices today!
Your supervisor is the one you need to go to for assistance with this, as we have nothing that is anywhere near this old that we could possibly provide you.
