Hi,
Recently purchased a G9 290 desktop for my studio. i5 12500 32GB Ram 180 W PSU.
I use an external usb audio interface, Motu M4. The interface works fine on every computer I own but on this new HP desktop.
The interface should pull approx. 2W and this is the case with every other computer I tried (including 3 pcs and a mac). However on G9 290, usb sound interface only pulls 1.3W and it makes cracks and popping sounds.
I went through all kind of power management tweaks I found on the internet. However, even having with no power efficiency enabled in any setting (usb sleep etc), the problem is still occuring.
I figured I should check the voltages. Installed CPUID HW Monitor and I saw the voltages are all messed up. I had an identical working power supply on hand and I swapped it. However, again it did not change anything. The voltages remain messed up. Not sure what I can do next. Could it be a motherboard issue since power supply is not the problem. HP diagnostics give no issue whatsoever. HP callcenter says they can't accept voltage reading from a non-HP software and refuse to even have a look at it.
I'm attaching the reads from my PC and hoping someone give me an advise on this.
Thanks,
-Onur
