HP Z620 Base Model Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I've been given a GEFORCE RTX 4060Ti Graphics card as a present (for design, illustration, animation, 3D design and video editing), but my workstation is an old HP Z620. Is it possible to use this graphics card in my workstation? Will I have to get any other upgrades in the power supply or cable adaptors to do this? Or is it not possible?

Thank you for any advice or help you can give me

Device name HP-Z620
Processor Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2660 0 @ 2.20GHz   2.20 GHz

Hi CJ175,

Yes, your RTX 4060Ti card can be used in your Z620. According to the Nvidia website, the card you have is either 160W or 165W (depending on whether you have the 8GB or 16GB variant).

You might also consider installing a faster CPU as this will significantly improve the GPU's performance. Do you know if you have a 1st or 2nd generation Z620? (Based on your Boot Block Date - listed in the BIOS). Of course, your PCIe gen4 GPU card will only run at PCIe gen3 bus speed.
