I currently have an OMEN 30L

Motherboard - 87c3

Power Supply - 500 watt

16Gig RAM

Geforce RTX 2060

The 5070 comes out very soon and I'm tempted to get it but need to know the proper upgrades I need to make.

Ive heard a 750 watt PSU would work fine for the 5070. But will my 87c3 motherboard work for the new GPU?

Any guidance is highly appreciated!

thanks

@froglife30,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

I don't see any issues whatsoever for you to upgrade your power supply and your graphics card on your Moria3 motherboard (SSID: 87C3).

For example, consider this Moria3 HP OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-0xxx User who fitted an RTX 4070 Super in their PC: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/68738825.

Only thing is to consider upgrading (adding) your cooling fan config in order to improve airflow in your case.

Kind Regards,
