One of the fans on my GPU is faulty. It had been making more noise from day one onwards, and periodically it would rattle as well, but it wasn't until this week that it had a sudden loud bout before refusing to spin altogether. Upon closer examination, It's painfully obvious that whatever fault it had in its ball bearing joint finally caused it to give out. The whole thing is still under warranty, but I feel like I shouldn't need to send in the entire desktop and be without it for a month while they swap out a dinky little fan.
Since it's just a small part attached by three easily accessible screws and a pin header cable, it should be a very easy fix on my end. The problem is that I cannot figure out where to find replacement parts for this card – the smallest 'part' I can find is the entire card itself, which is a TPC-M010G / M31640-002. Am I missing something? Would customer support be able to send me a replacement fan if I send in sufficient evidence?
