I did more research and found a 500w PSU with P/N 901759-013. From the pictures posted here, it looks like it has the same connectors as the PSU in my Prodesk. Is this a possible upgrade, or is the 400w PSU the only option we get? Curious if anyone has tried installing it on a Prodesk.

@prodeskuser,

That is an excellent question. The 500-watt power supply with p/n: 901759-013 (901759-003) "Power Supply - TWR, 500W ENT17, 90% EFF, 12V", may very well be compatible with your HP ProDesk 400 G6 MT.  The PSU you referenced is used with the HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Tower PC, which is very similar to your desktop:

There is nothing I found that would suggest that you can't or shouldn't try it. If the P2 power connector is a fit:

Then it would be worth a try.  At least in my experience, it will either work or it won't.  The chance that you could fry your motherboard is minimal -BUT you should determine if you want to risk it.

Kind Regards,

I looked up the motherboards for both models, and they seem to use the same connectors (the P2 slot and the 4-pins). I haven't tried it myself, but it would be a good upgrade if it does work. More GPU options to choose from.
