@Jackmaster98 , welcome to the forum.

According to the documentation that is available the computer was released in 2011.  The GT 1030 requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard/Legacy BIOS.  HP didn't begin using UEFI until mid-October, 2012.  You check in System Information to see what it shows for your BIOS.  Some later 2011 models did have an early version of UEFI.  The the last video cards not to require UEFI in the motherboard were the GTX 660/670 series.  I suggest that you choose a manufacturer of video cards and contact their Tech Support for help with choosing the best card for your system.

Thanks for the answer, but i am wondering.. why i see different answers for this question in every thread/forum i visit?

I mean, everyone say that the gt 1030 is retrocompatible with even the legacy bios, and also nvidia says that, so my question is.. if someone could use a gt 1030 on a legacy bios, i think the problem is of hp bios, am i right?

@Jackmaster98 ,

Your running about getting opinions,  then drop by the HP forum.  Did you actually determine what BIOS you have?

Go here and report back the Boot environment,  https://kb.parallels.com/en/115815

If the BIOS is UEFI,  forget the GT 1030 card.

You are welcome, @Jackmaster98!

There are many manufacturers of video cards.  Some of them make versions with a VBIOS switch that will allow for it to work with either UEFI or Legacy BIOS.  This is why I suggest that members contact the manufacturer's Tech Support for help.  They are the experts on their products and know if it will work.
