HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been searching online for the spec sheets for the EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF to see if there is any PCI-E power delivery limit. I know that other SFF motherboards often cap the power delivery of the PCI-E socket to ~30W and as far as I can see there is no limit on the EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF.

The power supply is the stock 80+ Platinum 240W which looks to have enough power to supply the CPU (i5 4570) and single HDD.

I am planning to use a SFF 1050 Ti which has no extra PCI-E power cable and will draw around 75W from the motherboard only. Would the EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF be able to support this?

Thanks.

Hi,

What is the recommended minimum power supply wattage for the specific make and model NVIDIA GTX 1050TI?

These HP specifications indicate a different PSU. Hard to believe that the SFF would have a 320 watt PSU.

The same specifications indicate a version 2 PCIe x16 slot that is wired to x4. In the past that has been tied to a wattage limitation. Perhaps HP is limiting wattage for the second PCIe slot.

HP does offer an OEM NVIDIA GTX 1050TI for PCs with 180 watt 90+ efficient PSU. However, it's a full height card.

If you want go ahead and give it a try with the 1050TI then measure inside and see if this make and model 1050TI will fit.  You need 211mm (8.3") for the length.

NOTE: All of the graphics cards offered by HP for the SFF were under 30 watts and around 6" in length.

If you use an SSD system, the consumption will be less. I used in this computer model a GTX 1050ti and it started and worked perfectly.
