Hi,
I have an hp prodesk 600g1 twr with intel i5 4570 and 16gb of ddr3 1600mhz, stock PSU and a Samsung 250GB SSD.
I've tried to install a Nvidia GTX 1050Ti into the PC, but i've had some issues:
when installing the GPU the pc shows black screen on the monitor while windows 11 booting sound can be heard, so the PC boots up but the graphics seems to be unrecognised.
I've tried to change settings in BIOS (legacy support enabled and sceure boot disabled), but nothing changed.
I've also tried to install another GPU (geforce 210) and it works perfectly, so why doesn't it work with the 1050ti?
Any suggestions?
thanks a lot.
Andrea

According to this site, your system should easily handle a 75 watt card like the GTX 1050ti. This assume you have the 320 watt power supply and not the 240 watt one. Note that the author was able to use a gtx1080 after upgrading the power supply.
Possibly you may need to upgrade your bios.
Please go here

put in your serial number, select win10 x 64 and verify you have the latest bios: May 26,2017 it seems

I've already updated the bios, now the PC has bios V 2.71 updated officially from HP.
Are there some special settings i have to change in the bios in order to make the Gpu work?
In device manager in windows I can see the GTX 1050TI, but the system says that it has been stopped due to an error (error 43).
I already tried to install the latest drivers for the GPU, but it didn't work.
When I boot the system it says "fw status recovery error", could this be a problem?
Thanks for help.

That is not good as it indicates a problem with the bios. Please reset the CMOS. Refer to this manual for CMOS reset
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04331099.pdf somewhere around page 200 are instructions
Did you put in your serial number and locate the correct bios? Please post the link to the bios that you downloaded.
Do not post your serial number as it will be deleted by the hp mods. Please also post your product ID so I can try to verify if the bios you downloaded is correct.
If you continue to get that FW warning you may need to revert to older bios.
Error 43 is a general error that indicates the driver is wrong or missing. You can read about it here but do not download anything from that site. Do only solution 1 and same for this helpful site. (do not download anything)
