My old 2007 HP pavilion finally died in Jan 2022. I got a new computer in Mar, but I want to grab all my files and pics off my old SATA HDD, which my diagnostics (at the time) said were still working even after my computer wouldn't boot after I downloaded an Intel "help" program. I can't contact Support because all I get is a loading screen every time I look at the website. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could/should do?
To be clear: my problem is NOT with the ENVY desktop, just with trying to get the files of the old Pavilion HDD and the old computer had the Win10 32-bit on it. The new one runs Win11 64-bit.
Also a any way to contact tech support would be appreciated.

@Angelmaat -- example of an adapter:

There is no "box" that encloses the adapter.

Given no physically damages, the best solution is to use an adapter to connect your old HDD to new machine thru USB port. I believe the old HDD is a 3.5" HDD, you can use one enclosure such as
https://www.amazon.com.au/ORICO-External-Enclosure-Tool-Free-Installation/dp/B01A4Y0HDG?th=1
There are many different enclosures around, and cheaper too.

@Angelmaat -- And this will have the connections to support my dinosaur of a HDD?
Yes, if you choose the correct adapter.
I have 3 different adapters:
- for an "antique" laptop disk-drive (2.5-inches wide)
- for an "antique" desktop disk-drive (3.5 or 5.25 inches wide)
- any modern "SATA-interface" disk-drive -- hard-drive or SSD
Some of the adapters also have a power-supply, because the USB interface may not send enough power to operate the disk-drive.

What's the difference between an enclosure and an adapter? I want to get the right thing.
You all are being so helpful! Thank You!
