I'm trying to find some good GPU + PSU combos which is power efficient and is near $100 budget point. I have seen that you can get a pretty good deal on a graphics card on eBay if you make bargains or bid. So are there any good combinations I can use to save energy and near the $100 budget point? Thanks if you do try to find a combination.

@Syntaxium, welcome to the forum.

It will be very difficult to buy a decent video card and power supply unit (PSU) for your $100 budget.  You will most likely have to increase it to at least $150 to $175.  I recommend a PSU with at least 400W.  The PSU in the link will work with most of the video cards that you buy.

some other things that may help

there are numerous cheap no name china made power supplies listed on ebay skip the 600 wat supplies for 25.00 if you don't want problems. Stay with name brand names like Corsair, Cooler Master, Antec, Be Quiet, Seasonic, and XFX. These aren’t the only ones however, used power supplies can also be a good buy, but be sure to research correctly as a power supply model can have several revisions which were made by diffrent venders as such the correct model number counts!!! a review of a b series model when you are buying a d series of that model is pointless!! last a name brand pwr supply in the 400/450 /500 wat range is about 45.00/65.00 new

video cards, ebay currently has quite a few fake nvidia cards where the scammers modify a low end card to say it's highr end model so beware, if the price is very low be on guard ebay will cover you if the card is not as advertised and refund the money, but that's a hassle you want to avoid if possible right?

if you post the card model you want to buy and the power supply the users her can let you know if it's a solid deal that will perform as advertised or if it's crap
